scope
Soft materials such as plants, wood, roots, leaves, needles, spices, textiles, leather, chemicals, food, grain, pulp, fillers, chalk, kaolin, coal, and soil (excluding stones). Medium-hard materials such as pharmaceuticals, coated tablets, tablets, fertilizers, pellets, and animal feed.
Temperature-sensitive samples can be ground because the fast, effective grinding reduces the thermal stress on the material being ground. Difficult-to-grind samples such as styrenes, polyesters, synthetic resins, films, PVC, PP, and PE can be embrittled by adding liquid nitrogen, for example, and then ground to analytical fineness. The PULVERISETTE 14 high-speed rotor mill is also used for sample preparation in accordance with RoHS regulations.
Working method
A very fast-running rotor with molded ribs crushes the sample through impact. In addition, the sharp-edged teeth, together with the inserted sieve, cut the sample through shear. In the final crushing stage, the sample is subjected to friction between the rotor and sieve.

The PULVERISETTE 14 rotor speed mill comes standard with a collecting vessel and lid. Impact rotors and sieve rings are available in various designs and materials and can be ordered as accessories.
A WC-coated sieve ring with a 0.25mm trapezoidal hole is also available.
