The conical nozzle is constructed of nickel. The dual on-axis extraction lenses are located outside the high vacuum region, allowing both conventional and soft extraction modes with easy maintenance. The mass range extends from 2 to 260 u. The RF frequency is 3 MHz, and the minimum scan time is 100 µs. Abundance sensitivity is less than 5 x 10^-7 at low mass and less than 1 x 10^-7 at high mass. The detector electronics, featuring Agilent's unique log-amplifier circuit, offer a high-speed analog mode for transient signals and a true nine-power-of-ten dynamic range. The working concentration range extends from the detection limit to 500 ppm, with the ability to extend the maximum concentration to over 1000 ppm in helium mode (7500ce, 7500cs) without adjusting the analyzer resolution.
