Superior Optics, Superior Accuracy

The Spectronic AquaMate spectrophotometer is available in two models:

• Visible (315-1100 nm)
• UV-Visible (190-1100 nm)

The heart of the spectrophotometer is a superior optical design built upon a class-leading, high-resolution 2 nm bandwidth monochromator. This means it has the selectivity and sensitivity to handle a wide range of environmental applications, such as chlorophyll or organic contaminant analyses, in addition to water analysis using test kits.

Its superb linearity, stability, and signal-to-noise ratio enables the spectrophotometer to consistently deliver accurate and precise measurements, even with highly absorbent or light-scattering samples.

Ready to Use, Right Out of the Box

The spectrophotometer is shipped with more than 400 pre-programmed test methods, complete with calibration curves or factors from leading test kit manufacturers like Merck, HACH, CHEMetrics, and Dr Lange. Many of these methods are equivalent to DIN, ISO and APHA.AWWA.WPCF methods. With the built-in disk drive, you can easily load methods and calibrations into non­volatile memory. You are also completely free to choose which test kits to load. Whether you choose from one kit manufac­turer or from several, you can decide which offers the best combination of speed, sensitivity, selectivity, and cost of analysis for your particular needs.

Simple Operation, Full Functionality

Recognizing that the skill levels of operators vary from lab to lab, we have made working with the system as simple as possible. All you have to do is:

1. Select a test from the displayed list
2. Insert a vial, cell, or ampoule in the sample compartment holder
3. Enter an alphanumeric sample ID and press ‘RUN’
4. View the results and calibration curve in the graphic display and automatically print a hard copy and/or archive to a disk

Stay Current With Your Testing

Keep your system current with the very latest kit technologies and chemistries with the built-in disk drive and intelligent programming. Reduce lengthy delays waiting for your instrument supplier to provide you with the latest calibrations. Thermo can send you the latest calibrations on disk or via e-mail, or you can enter the calibrations yourself.

• Run calibrations using up to 20 standards, each with 3 replicates, and choose from 4 curve fits
• Measure up to 20 discrete wavelengths
• Control events, such as the time required for the sample color to develop, with built-in procedural timers
• Enter QC limits that generate on-screen and hardcopy PASS or FAIL results
• Apply calculations to your raw data to change the reported units or to correct for different sample weights, volumes, or dilutions
• Find the correct analytical wavelength – the spectrophotometer will determine and show the peak profile and peak wave­length on the graphical display

Method and Data Storage

Up to 30 methods, calibrations, or results files in non-volatile memory.

Built-in industry standard 1.44 Mb disk drive for unlimited method, calibration, and results storage. Each disk stores up to 200 methods/calibrations. Also used for electronic archiving, transfer of results to a PC, and for upgrading instrument applications software.
