The PROSPEKT•2system is designed for fully automated online SPE. lt consists of the following modules:

•      ACE(Automated Cartridge Exchange): instrument for disposable cartridge exchange

•      HPD(High Pressure Dispenser): instrument for solvent delivery.

An Autosampler can be integrated in the system. The SparkLink Software package is required for control of the PROSPEKT•2 modules.

This manual describes Installation and maintenance procedures for ACE and HPD modules. Consult Online Help in SparkLink for information concerning use of the ACE and HPD modules.

Several options are available for PROSPEKT•2 modules. As a result, numerous different system configurations can be made. To make things easier, a number of configurations has been preprogrammed in SparkLink. All you have to do is erster the correct settings (type of HPD or ACE, number of SSMs, ISS valves and ports) and indicate that you wish to use Easy Access. SparkLink will display one or more system configurations you can choose from on the basis of the settings you have entered.

Important PROSPEKT•2 features:

•    Computer control ensures easy reporting facilities and full monitoring of analytical procedures.

§   Computer control provides good insight in method programming and offers
PROSPEKT•2 configuration testing before actual execution of a run.

•    Easy Access mode ensures speedy and easy programming of methods for PROSPEKT•2 modules.

•    Numerous configuration possibilities allow for optimal setup for SPE, MS, GC and other analytical procedures.

•    Cartridges for ACE are supplied in trays (96 cartridges each).

•    Thermally Assisted SPE (TASPE) allows for control of temperature from ambient to 100°C to further optimize SPE (option).

•    A feeder option is available for the ACE (2 x 5 trays with 96 cartridges each).

•    A solvent Organizer is provided with the HPD (storage of 4 x 500 mL bottles, or 8 x 250 mL bottles).
