Reader

As an integral part of the Plato 3 Series Robotic Microplate Processors, the QIAGEN Instruments plate reader is programmed and controlled by the PC resident software. Plates are automatically taken to the reader according to the demands of the preprogrammed assay. As the plate leaves and re-enters the storage stack or incubator tower, its identity can be read with the optional plate identifier barcode reader.

This helps to eliminate sample-tracking errors.

SAMTRAK

Positive Sample Identification unit is installed directly on the work surface to minimize bench space. CCD camera is used for bar code reading. Linear racks hold the sample tubes. Each linear rack holds 16* 12 mm tubes, 12* 12 mm tubes, or 12* 16 mm tubes.

Standard configuration SAMTRAK holds a total of 12 racks.

Robotic Transfer Speed

Approximately 4 seconds to take a plate from the stack and place it on the work surface, washer or reader.

Tip Design
