DESCRIPTION

1.1 GENERAL

The GAS CHROMATOGRAPH 755 is far more than just, a gas chromatograph. It is a self contained transportable instrument with all functions user programmable to perform your analysis in manual or fully automatic mode and record the results on an optional built-in or any other auxiliary recorder.

The control of the instrument is performed by a self contained microprocessor consisting of a central processing unit (CPU) and random access memory (RAM). Functions to be executed in the manual mode are simply selected by keyboard entry of a two digit command Code. In the automatic mode, keyboard entry of a step, time and command code sequence is stored in RAM and executed at the lapsed time indicated on the crystal controlled clock.

The Eight Digit Led display indicates all keyboard entries. facilitates editing of the stored program and displays the elapsed time and command code in the automatic mode.

In addition signal and logic outputs have been provided for interface and control of auxiliary data acquisition equipment and accessories.

1.2                SUMMARY OF GC 755 SERIES , 300-400-600-700 FEATURES

The A.I.R. Instruments 755 gas chromatograph incorporates many features not normally found in more complex and expensive laboratory and process systems. Quality components are uniquely packaged to provide optimum reliability, compactness and operational simplicity.

Although the compact design may appear to be a limiting factor, users agree this is not the case. The thoughtful mechanical design provides for the addition of many options including a variety of gas train configurations, detectors, valves and electronics.

The result is a multi-purpose instrument used by research scientists, industrial hygienist, environmental engineers and educators. The 755 is equally at home in the laboratory, industrial environment or remote field locations. Applications include the monitoring and analysis of components present in ambient air, stack gases, vehicle emissions, industrial processes, hazardous atmospheres, controlled environments, respiratory gases and specialty gas mixtures, etc.

The 755 has many standard features to reduce the need for auxiliary equipment, improve accuracy and simplify operation.
