Movipol-2 ist ein tragbares Gerät zum elektrolytischen Polieren und Ätzen elektrisch leitender Materialien für nachfolgende mikroskopische Untersuchung des Oberflächengefüges, entweder direkt oder mittels Replica Abdrucks.
1.1 Anwendung
Movipol-2 ist zur Anwendung im Bereich der Industrie entwickelt. Die Polier/Ätzmethode ist eine der vor Ort Techniken zur Kontrolle einer Konstruktion in Betrieb, z.B. Kraftwerke und Bohrinseln, oder Konstruktionen, die aus praktischen Gründen nicht ins Labor mitgebracht werden können.
Movipol-2 kann auch als ein stationäres Gerät in einem Labor aufgestellt werden.
1.2 Funktion
Wenn der Movipol Polier/Ätzkopf auf der Probe angebracht wird, entsteht eine Kammer voll von Elektrolyt zwischen der Oberfläche der Probe und einer im Polier/Ätzkopf eingebauten Kathode.
Von einem Behälter wird der Elektrolyt durch einen Kunststoffschlauch in die Kammer des Kopfes eingesaugt und dann zum Behälter zurückgeleitet.
Wenn die Probe als eine Anode mittels der Steckdose an der Schalttafel geschaltet wird, kann ein Gleichstrom durch den Elektrolyt geleitet werden, so dass Material vom Teil der Probenoberfläche, der vom Elektrolyt gedeckt ist, elektrolytisch abgetragen wird.
1.3 Konstruktion
Das Gehäuse besteht aus drei Hauptelementen - einem unteren Teil mit Platz für Batterien, einem oberen Teil aus spritzgeformtem, UV-stabilisiertem Kunststoff und einem Griff aus PVC/rostfreiem Stahl.
Die elektrisch betriebenen Elemente sind in der linken Sektion des oberen Teils eingebaut. Die rechte Sektion des oberen Teils enthält eine abnehmbare Bodenplatte, die einen Elektrolytbehälter an der unteren Seite, einen Pumpenmotor und einen Halter zum Anbringen des Polier/ Ätzkopfes in Ruhelage an der oberen Seite trägt.
Ein Stecker zum Einschalten von 42 V Wechselstrom ist an der linken Seite des oberen Teils angebracht.
Im unteren Teil des Gehäuses ist es möglich, neun 6 V Batterien zu montieren, die wieder aufgeladen werden können, falls es keine externe Stromversorgung gibt.
Der Griff besteht aus sandgestrahltem rostfreiem Stahl und solidem PVC. Wegen der Konstruktion des Griffes ist das Gerät leicht und sicher zu handhaben.
Der Griff kann zur Seite geklappt werden, so dass die Bedienungselemente frei zugänglich sind.
Ein Schulterriemen kann montiert werden, wenn das Gerät z.B. eine Leiter hochgetragen werden soll, und der Handgriff unpraktisch ist.
