The BioRobot 9600 is designed to automate routine molecular biology tasks such as preparation of high-purity nucleic acids. The BioRobot 9600 combines state-of-the-art robotics, unique interactive software, and renowned QIAGEN purification technology.

The BioRobot 9600 is specifically developed for efficient high-throughput preparation of double-stranded and single-stranded nucleic acid templates and PCR products, setup of enzymatic reactions (PCR, sequencing, and restriction digests), and other liquid handling procedures such as agarose-gel loading and sample rearray. The purified material is suitable for use in the most demanding and sensitive downstream applications such as fluorescent sequencing, microinjection, and transfection. lt also increases productivity by combining high speed wich minimal user interaction leaving you more time to complete other tasks.

The BioRobot 9600 Integrated Modular Design Concept

The BioRobot 9600 purification system uses integrated components for dependable results.

•     The robotic arm and electrochemically polished pipetting probe(s) provide precise reagent dispensing and aspiration

•     The dilutor system(s) for high-precision small-volume liquid dispensing

•     The High-Speed Pipetting System for shorter run times and higher sample throughput

•     The Tip-Change System with specially designed tip-adapters and disposable tips for cross-contamination-free sample handling

•     The dedicated wash station ensures contamination-free sampling

•     The worktable holds all buffers and racks in exactly the right position

•     The shaker for resuspension of bacterial pellets and mixing of liquids in 15ml tubes, or 96-well plates

•     The vacuum manifold with integrated pressure control guarantees rapid and thorough filtration as an efficient separation step equivalent

•     The Labware Identification System (LIS) identifies labware (e.g., square-well blocks) from their bar-codes to assist in sample tracking and documentation

•     The QlAsoft 3.0 PLUS operating system controls all procedures for the BioRobot 9600. The software is a user-friendly software which operates on the high-quality computer provided
