Delivery information

Prices exclude shipping costs. Stated shipping costs are to be expected. Deviations are possible. If transport costs are not specified, please ask separately for them.

The stated transport and packing charges apply to the most favorable route if transport and are to be understood as subject to verification due to unexpected cost increases. By reason of unpredictable events, cargo rates and delivery times can change at any time and therefore have to be adapted to the recent situation. Import formalities and possible customs charges will be borne by the purchaser. Incoterm coding according to Incoterms 2010: For persons who collect the devices themselves: EXW, for dipatch by sea: CFR, by air freight: CPT, other shipments: DAP. Note for international shipments: A proof of preference/EUR1 will not be issued by us. When self-collecting/ordering EXW from countries within or outside the European Union, 16% VAT will be retained as a deposit until we have received the corresponding confirmation of arrival/bill of delivery from the buyer.

NEW BEAM BOOST™ Photochemical Reactor

  • Increased sensitivity/selectivity
  • Easy-to-use and absolutely reproducible
  • No band broadening
  • Nano to picogram detection enhancement
  • No sample dilution
  • Applicable to precolumn derivatization
  • Use in conjunction with UV, fluorescent, photo diode and electrochemical detectors
  • Three external event interfaces, computer compatible

Photochemistry in HPLC offers new opportunities in levels of detection and selectivity without the disadvantages of pre or post column derivatization. This is done by simply exposing the analyte in the effluent from any HPLC column to ultra violet light. This is done in a transparent Teflon tube, crocheted to decrease the influence of band broadening. A wide variety of chemical reactions can be forecasted leading to new fluorescent molecules, molecules that can now be electrochemically detected or detected by fluorescence or simple UV enhancement. This is all done quantitatively in a very short period of time. Chemoluminescence has also been reported with this system. This brand new Beam Boost system has a host of new features developed from 8 years of experience with thousands of samples as background. These features include switchable 115/230 volts with more stable electronics so that the results are not affected by power fluctuations. An LED indicates power on as well as lamp fail and leak detection. Lamp life has been extended to well over 500 hours. State of the art electronics include computer links for on/off control and pump shut down if a leak is detected.

In the field of chiral chromatography this instrument has been invaluable in increasing the detection limits of many chiral drugs and their metabolites and perhaps more importantly, allowing for a change in detection parameters that improve detectability and quantitation. In the example below, 50% enhancement is seen in the UV. With a fluorometer the enhancement would have been 30 fold. A large number of examples also exist for the use of ECD detectors where increases of 10 to 100 times have been obtained.
