Mit dem ThermoStat plus können wässrige Lösungen in geschlossenen Gefäßen oder in Mikrotiterplatten temperiert werden.
Das Gerät darf nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Räumen betrieben werden, explosive oder heftig reagierende Stoffe dürfen nicht temperiert werden. Das Gerät ist funktionsfähig bei einer Umgebungstemperatur zwischen 4 °C und 40 °C.
Beim Arbeiten mit giftigen Flüssigkeiten oder solchen, die pathogene Keime enthalten, muß das geeignete Sicherheitsumfeld eingehalten werden (Abzug, Labor der entsprechenden Sicherheitsklasse). Umfassende Vorschriften zum Umgang mit pathogenen Keimen oder biologischem Material sind in nationalen oder internationalen Bestimmungen festgelegt.
Das Gerät darf nicht ohne Wechselblock, und nur mit Original Eppendorf Wechselblöcken betrieben werden.
Beachten Sie bitte beim Abnehmen eines erhitzten Wechselblocks, daß bei Berühren seiner Unterseite oder der Oberseite des Thermosockels Verbrennungen möglich sind!
Wenn das Gerät aus dem Kühlraum in einen wärmeren Raum gebracht wird, sollte es zunächst bis zum Abtrocknen von Kondensat ca. 1 Stunde nicht betrieben werden. Kondensat kann sich ebenfalls bilden, wenn es bei einer Temperatur unter Raumtemperatur in Räumen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit benutzt wird.
