Funktions- und Meßprinzip
Die Flammenphotometrie ist eine sehr einfache und schnelle Analysenmethode.
Die Meßsubstanz wird in gelöster Form fein verteilt in eine nicht leuchtende Flamme gebracht. Dabei entsteht ein Aufleuchten der Flamme, das durch Anregung der einzelnen Atome zustande kommt.
Je mehr Atome davon vorhanden sind, um so stärker ist die ausgestrahlte Lichtmenge, so daß aus der Messung der Leuchtdichte der Flamme die Konzentration der Meßlösung errechnet werden kann.
Jedes Element hat seine charakteristische Lichtfarbe, d. h. es strahlt bestimmte, genau festliegende Wellenlängen aus, die durch den Aufbau des Atoms bestimmt sind.
Da in der Probe mehrere Elemente gleichzeitig vorhanden sind, sendet die Flamme ein Lichtgemisch aus. Mit Hilfe optischer Filter wird das Licht des gewünschten Elements isoLiertund gelangt auf jeweils eine Photodiode, die das Licht in ein elektrisches Signal umwandelt. Das Signal wird verstärkt, digitalisiert, und mit Hilfe des nachgeschalteten Rechners wird die
Konzentration berechnet, angezeigt und ausgedruckt.
Die Flammenphotometrie ist ein Relativmeßverfahren, d. h. das Meßsignal der unbekannten Probe wird mit dem Signal einer bekannten Standardlösung verglichen, und hieraus wird die Probenkonz 'oA-berechnet.
Da die Konzentration von Na, K und Ca für die direkte Bestimmung zu hoch ist, und die Matrix die Messung empfindlich stören würde, werden alle Proben automatisch 1 + 50 verdünnt.
EFIX 5055 arbeitet nach dem Leitlinienprinzip. Hierzu werden alle Proben mit einer Verdünnungslösung verdünnt, die Lithium als Leitelement enthält. Alle Veränderungen der Zerstäubung, des Luft- und Gasdrucks iwirken sicha7uidas Meßelement (Na, K, Ca) und Leitelement (Li) annähernd gleich aus.
Während des Standard-Abgleichs wird die Lithiumkonzentration gemessen und auf 'I gesetzt. Aus jeder Lithiumänderung wird ein Korrektur-Faktor berechnet, um den die jeweilige Probe korrigiert wird.
Die Krümmung der Eichkurve ist für jedes Element im Rechner gespeichert, und jeder Meßwert wird entsprechend der Kennlinie korrigiert.
