Verification of devices
The second-hand devices are verified by Labexchange Service GmbH before delivery. You are receiving only fully functional devices.
Dispatch time
The stated dispatch times are the shortest possible ones for each article. The effective dispatch times can vary. The effective dispatch times will be stated in the order confirmation.
As a matter of principle, we are offering collective deliveries. The shipping time is calculated based on the position with the longest lead time. A partial delivery is possible on explicit request.
Shipping methods
Parcel services, forwarding agencies, self-pickup, delivery by Labexchange fleet.
Delivery information
Prices exclude shipping costs. Stated shipping costs are to be expected. Deviations are possible. If transport costs are not specified, please ask separately for them.
The stated transport and packing charges apply to the most favorable route if transport and are to be understood as subject to verification due to unexpected cost increases. By reason of unpredictable events, cargo rates and delivery times can change at any time and therefore have to be adapted to the recent situation. Import formalities and possible customs charges will be borne by the purchaser. Incoterm coding according to Incoterms 2010: For persons who collect the devices themselves: EXW, for dipatch by sea: CFR, by air freight: CPT, other shipments: DAP. Note for international shipments: A proof of preference/EUR1 will not be issued by us. When self-collecting/ordering EXW from countries within or outside the European Union, 16% VAT will be retained as a deposit until we have received the corresponding confirmation of arrival/bill of delivery from the buyer.
Terms of payment
We do not accept payment by letter of credit, PayPal, etc. In each case the invoice amount is payable without deduction. Discount is not granted.

Overview of the Rheometer System
The Rh-2000 rheometer system has three main components, shown in Figure 1.
These are :
1. The Main Unit, which carries out the test. This is the core of the test system, with the barrel to contain the sample to be tested, the drive system and the pressure measurement systems.
The Main Unit is generally bench-mounted, but an optional floor-stand (Option Rh20-S1) is available from Rosand. This floor-stand is also used to support certain hardware options such as the melt-strength and die swell systems.
2. The Control Computer. This allows the Operator to "instruct" the system what to do. The current software is overviewed in this manual, but the full Software Manual MUST be read before any experiment is carried out.
The Control Console is mounted on castors for ease of placement under the rheometer/computer. An optional bench mounting kit (Option Rh20-S2) is also available if this is preferred.
3. The Control Console for the rheometer, which interfaces both the Main Unit and the Control Computer. This provides the powerful electronics to control the drive, the temperature and all the other controls required for the Main Unit. lt also contains the controls independent from the computer, for example for all safety-related interlocks.
The Main Unit
Introduction
The Main rheometer Unit has :
a) The barrel to contain the material to be tested at the defined temperature
b) The piston(s) to drive the material through a capillary die at well-defined speeds or shear rates.
c) The pressure sensor(s) to monitor the resultant pressures.
The Main Unit is available with a variety of versions for:
1. Drive speed
2. Drive force
3. Temperature range
4. Number of bores in the barrel
The first three provide for the testing of materials of different viscosity, processed at differing rates and temperatures (for example, thermoplastics are usually processed at temperatures from 100°C to 350°C, while some engineering thermoplastics require even higher temperatures. Many thermoset plastics, foods, paints and inks are processed/used at about room temperature, while ice cream is processed at down to -30°C). In general, the overall operation of the system will not alter greatly between units with different versions of parameters 1 to 3.
Voltage Supply: 230V Single phase.
Frequency: 50 Hz
Current Requirement: 16 Amps
Connection is via a lead fitted with a 16 Amp 220-240V 2P + E 50/60 Hz blue plug conforming to BS4343, IEC 309-2, BS 60309-2 and CEE 17.
A suitable socket must be fitted by a qualified electrician to accept this plug.
Operation Temperature +10°C to +35°C
Non Operating Temperature -10°C to +50°C
Operating Humidity 30% to 70% non condensing.
