The System is modular designed. Please, finde the modules you are looking for.
Pump L-7100
The Lachrom L-7100 HPLCm provides the highest possible degree of precision and reliability fo high quality analytical results. Corresponding to the requirements of modern quality assurance, it is equipped with intelligent function control and incorporates a documentation facitility. Versatile in its applicaton, it has become a universal pump module in the HPLC laboratory.
Apart from its control by the D-7000 HPLC System Manager, the L-7100 can also function as a stand-alone system controller.
Precision and Reliabilitly
The L-7100 has been designed along the lines of the proven serial dualpiston principle, characterised by an extremely constant flow rate, low pulsation and reliable delivery of all commonly used solvents. Moreover, the L-7100 is able to form solvent gradients with high precision and accuracy. Each individual component and the finished Instrument are Subjett to stringent quality control measures. A validation certificate and the manufacturer's test report documents that all functions and specifications haue been fulfilled.
Versatile in Application
User-friendly programming via keyboard and LCD dialogue enable the L-7100 to be used as
Isocratic HPLC pump
Quaternary low-pressure gradient pump in conjunction with a gradient accessory
High-pressure gradient pump in conjunction with one or two further L-7100 pumps and as
Column packing device at constant pressure.
The L-7100 pump can Store
9 time programmes, in which mobile phase composition, flow rate and four events can be programmed and varied over a period of time.
Via a Link function, programmes for multi-method applications can be linked.
A shut-down routine can be programmed to be carried out at the end of an analysis series by
Delayed pump stop and a
System flush programme.
Due to minimised internal volume, a highly constant flow-rate and excellent gradient reproducibility at low flow-rates, the L-7100 pump is
Optimally suited for narrow-bore applications.
For applications involving sensitive materials requiring operation at low temperatures
The cold room compatibility of the L-7100 is advantageous.
Premature wear caused by saltcontaining eluents is prevented by the fitting of a
Piston cleaning facility, whereby the piston wash procedure can be carried out automatically in combination with the LaChrom autosamplers.
GLP Functions
In view of the requirements of quality assurance systems, all modules of the LaChrom system haue been fitted with comprehensive facilities for Status display, reliability monitoring and the provision of corresponding documentation and traceability.
All parameters, programmes and gradient curves of the L-7100 pump can be printed out by the LaChrom data systems.
The pressure signal of the L-7100 pump is constantly monitored as part of the reliability check. Any deviations from the normal pressure profile, caused for example by air bubbles or malfunction of pump valves, are registered during the course of the analysis.
The Pump pressure profile can be printed out in the analysis report and hence nerve in the assessment of the quality of the analytical results.
Maintenance is facilitated by the
Maintenance logbook which automatically registers the total volume delivered. This provides an indication as to when the next replacement of the pump seal or the next cleaning of the pump valves should take place.
Controller Function
In stand-alone operation, the system control function of the
L-7100 enables external Instruments to be controlled by providing
Four event and other control Signals.

Autosampler L-7200
Application
This instrument is used in combination with a liquid chromatography system to perform automatic analyses.
Configuration
The configuration of the L-7200 Autosampler is shown in Figure 3-1.
Samples to be analyzed are stored in a rack which is placed in a chamber that includes a syringe to allow aspiration of the samples can be moved along the transverse axis (X), the longitudinal axis (Y), and the vertical axis (Z). The injection valve is used to inject samples into the mobile phase flow. Syringes with a delivery volume of 0.1 and 0.5mL are available.
Analytical conditions are set via the keys on the keypad. The display panel presents information about the operational status of the system.
Flow path
Figure 1-3 includes the various components of the system that are
in contact with the sample and the wash solution in the L-7200
Autosampler. The needle can be moved along the X, Y and Z
axes to permit free movement between sample vials, the wash
port and the injection port. The action of the syringe is used to
withdraw sample from the sample vial and to deliver lt to the
injection port.
A cycle includes the following steps:
* The needle is cleaned in the wash port
* A sample solution is aspirated by the needle
* The sample solution is Ioaded into the loop of the injection valve
* The valve is switched to inject the sample into the mobile phase
Sample Injection Methods
The L-7200 permits three injection methods. In the standard injection method, the amount of sample that is withdrawn by the needle is slightly larger than the amount of sample that will be transferred from the injection valve to the column. The middle part of the sample is injected; the leading and trailing ends of the sample are not injected. This method is commonly called the cut injection method.
If the amount of a sample is small, the entire sample that is withdrawn via the needle is transferred into the sample loop and into the column. This method is called the all volume injection method.
In the full loop injection method, sample loop is filled with sample for measurement.
Cut lnjection Method
This method provides good reproducibility, however some of the sample is wasted.

UV-Detektor L-7400
Precise Optics for Highest Sensit
The detectors are equipped with a high-quality reference beam system which compensates for fluctuations in the light beam instability and ageing of the lamp. Newly developed deuterium lamps guarantee longer life and increase the already proven operational reliability of the detectors. The measuring cells are so designed that any refractive index effects brought about by alteration of chromatographic parameters are minimised. This results in the highest degree of detection sensitivity throughout the entire measuring range of the detectors.
Wavelength Programming and Spectral Recording
Detection at the absorption maximum of an analyte improves not only the detection sensitivity but also the linearity and reproducibility of an analysis. The wavelength-programmable detectors are capable of adjusting automatically to the optimal wavelength prior to each peak. This occurs so quickly that each component of a sample is detected at its maximum sensitivity. During wavelength switching, the autozero function can be activated; this prevents baseline steps occurring and increases reliability when integrating peaks. In order to enable a particular sample component to be specifically identified, a complete spectrum can be stored and printed out on a recorder or integrator when the chromatogram has been completed.
High Operational Reliability and Ease of Use
For GLP work, information on lamp energy, lamp light-on time and an automatic test of wavelength accuracy can be recalled. The easy-toread display and simple operation enables the detectors to be optimally set. Numerous programming possibilities are available for wavelength, baseline parameters and spectral files. A total of nine time programmes can be entered using a dialogue process. Once entered, programmes remain intact even after the instrument has been switched off.
Digital Communication and System Advantages
The new LaChrom detectors have been fitted with an analogue and a digital data output. They can be used either as stand-alone instruments or be incorporated into the LaChrom system. When combined with other LaChrom modules, digital data communication ensures maximum data security and interference-free data processing. The new high-performance data communication network D-Line also facilitates the intelligent and interference-free transfer of digital information between the LaChrom modules as well as the control and display of all parameters, files and spectra via an integrator or PC. Functions such as the "event logbook", the "reliability report" and the automatically compiled service report facilitate GLP work and simplify both maintenance and checking of the instruments.
