Reader	As an integral part of the Plato 3 Series Robotic Microplate Processors, the QIAGEN Instruments plate reader is programmed and controlled by the PC resident software. Plates are automatically taken to the reader according to the demands of the preprogrammed assay. As the plate leaves and re-enters the storage stack or incubator tower, its identity can be read with the optional plate identifier barcode reader. This helps to eliminate sample-tracking errors.
