Printer Impact
- Direct Vessel Heating (DVH) technology precisely controls the heating of dissolution media and replaces traditional water baths.
- Innovative V-shaped design and vessels offer a direct view of the six sample vessels at all times
- Optional control of individual spindles is ideal for automated methods
Designed for use with USP Apparatus 1 and 2, the VK 7030 replaces a traditional water bath with patented DVH technology. Water baths and circulating pumps are now a thing of the past. The result is a fast startup, excellent temperature uniformity, and the easiest maintenance of any dissolution tester available today.
Our DVH technology meets USP, EP, and JP requirements for heating. The dual-zone DVH heater element uses copper wire captured between two layers of thin-film polyester, which is then attached to the glass vessel using high-temperature clear adhesive. The heater element withstands vigorous cleaning in industrial-grade washers up to 65°C.
The VK 7030 also features an alpha-numeric keypad, digital communication, and programmability. The configuration includes six or eight spindles and can be equipped with paddles or baskets.
Designed for Automation
- Standard on all units, Dosage Delivery Module (DDM) can be programmed automatically, simultaneously, or sequentially to deliver dosages to vessels with instant or delayed starts. This feature replaces the need for manual dropping and allows for unattended test starts.
- Also standard on all units is the AutoTemp in-vessel temperature monitoring system that automatically measures and records individual vessel temperatures.
- Independent cannulas allow staggered drops and sampling without disrupting vessel hydrodynamics, while ensuring an accurate sampling position based on the specified volume of media used. The independent sampling cannulas can be lowered individually in a sequential run or in unison during a simultaneous sampling gprogram .
- Optional AutoSpindle control (clutches) allows for sequential delivery of dosage into non-rotating media. These electric clutches can stop and start each spindle independently.
- Flexible integration with VK 8000 Dissolution Sampling Station. Easily automated for online UV analysis and Fiber Optics.
- Built-in security features within the software allow administrator and user functionality. Methods require a user name and password. Stores up to 10 users with unique passwords.
- Large front-panel display provides full information on spindle speed, elapsed time, temperature, and more. Two character sizes are available: standard size for programming and a larger size for better visibility when monitoring operating parameters.
Direct Vessel Heating
- DVH TruCenter TM vessels ensure perfect centering and alignment every time.
- Environmental chambers isolate vessels from laboratory conditions and contain media in the event of vessel breakage.
- Dual-zoned heating elements allow precise control of media from 500 mL to 1000 mL .
- DVH incorporates two temperature control mechanisms. The first monitors and controls temperature while the second measures and records temperature.
Motorized Drive Unit
- Unit lifts at the touch of a button.
- Motorized drive unit slides from the front to the rear of the tester providing complete access to the vessels for removal and cleaning.
- Drive unit sits low and close to the vessels. Less overhead clearance is required.
- Lower profile allows for shorter shafts, reducing the potential for wobble.
Easy Access, Easy Use
- Access to the six perimeter vessels for sampling is simple. An easy-to-use sampling cannula is included to reach interior vessels.
- Vessel evaporation covers automatically lower into position as the drive unit is lowered and are easily removed for cleaning.
- Hinged-top cover offers convenient access to the system mechanics.
- Vessel plate is made of chemically resistant Corian® for durability and easy clean up.
