Self-rechargeable battery pack with automatic bat­tery backup circuit. On interruption or failure of the power supply the actual temperature is displayed continuously using the backup battery. Inadmissable fluctuations from the setpoint temperature are indica­ted optically and acoustically. The battery is automati­cally recharged when the power is restored.
