Cabinets are available in 4-foot Model 1284 and 6-foot Model 1286 versions. The Forma® 1284 and 1286 biosafety cabinets feature a frameless glass window that ensures a clear, unobstructed view of the work area. The large 10-inch sliding opening also increases operator mobility and reach into the work area without compromising protection. Patented, high velocity vortex channels provide additional protection for products, users and the environment. These direct the turbulent air into the return air system, minimizing the hazards of particles escaping or entering the cabinet. The 3/4 HP blower/motor integrated into the Forma® biological safety cabinets provides ample reserve airflow capacity. This allows the unit to accept up to a 230% increase in filter resistance and still meet NSF recommended airflow specifications, extending filter life and reducing maintenance costs. The UV interlock on the Forma® biological safety cabinets provides additional safety by not allowing UV light operation unless the sliding opening is fully closed.
