An open architecture sample introduction system allows easy access to the peristaltic pump, nebulizer, spray chamber and torch configuration in the iCAP 6000 Series. A unique drain sensor is integrated into the sample introduction system to ensure plasma is safely extinguished and fluid flow is controlled in the event of a blockage or leak. The self-aligning Enhanced Matrix Tolerance torch technology uses an integrated alignment lock to automatically create reliable connections for the plasma gas and is optimized to operate with nearly 20% less argon consumption than typical ICPs. A screw-threaded central tube allows for quick disassembly from the torch body without removing the torch from the torch box, facilitating quick and efficient maintenance without having to turn off the plasma.
