The LC-10AD is a dual piston pump designed to improve accuracy and sensitivity when using a high performance liquid chromatograph.
In addition to a pump, an automatic or manual injector, column, injector holder, and detector are required for a high-performance liquid chromatography system. All these devices are supplied as additional special accessories.
Please note that these operating instructions are solely limited to the operation of the LC-10AD and the important accessories. As far as the operation of the optional accessories is concerned, please refer to the operating instructions for the respective devices.
1. Ultra-low flow pulsation solvent delivery and highly accurate gradient delivery
Compared with conventional models, the strength of the flow pulsation has been significantly reduced and the pulsation cycle is noticeably shortened. This was achieved by reducing the outflow volume to a micro volume of 10 liters per piston stroke and by using a high-speed piston. These properties allow the use of pulsation-sensitive detectors (eg differential refractometers and electrochemical detectors) in the high-sensitivity range. In addition, extremely precise gradient delivery is possible in the semi-micro volume range.
2. Variety of functions for gradient delivery
Two methods, the low and the high pressure method, are available for gradient delivery. The high-pressure gradient method is extremely accurate and has minimal delay, while the low-pressure gradient method allows solvent delivery with up to four liquids at low cost.
In addition, the control of these gradient delivery methods can be performed with two different system configurations. Either use the SCL-10A system controller or control the gradient delivery from the LC-10AD (without using a system controller).
3. Use of buffer solutions
The automatic flushing device on the back of the piston seal automatically cleans the piston. When using a high salt concentration buffer solution as the mobile phase, this device effectively prolongs the life of the piston seal.
