System-Beschreibung
Das Sequoia-Turner Spektrophotometer Modell 690 besitzt einen Mikroprozessor mit digital und analog integrierten Schaltkreisen und einem linearen digitalen Ausgangssignal für Prozent Transmission, Absorption, Konzentration und Faktor.
Der Monochromator des Modells 690 besteht aus einem planen Diffraktionsgitter in einem f7-Ebert-Aufhängung mit entsprechender Optik. Damit ist das Modell 690 in der Lage mit einem kontinuierlichen Wellenlängenbereich von 330 bis 999 nm die meisten Routinemessungen im UV-Bereich und ebenso kolorimetrische Tests durchzuführen.
Das sehr bedienerfreundliche Design führt dazu, daß der Anwender sehr schnell mit der Handhabung des Gerätes vertraut wird. Auf Grund der große 8-stelligen LEE-Anzeige ist Wellenlänge und Meßwert leicht abzulesen. Die normale 3½-stellige Anzeige wird automatisch in eine 4½ stellige umgeformt, wenn hohe Faktor- oder Konzentrationswerte erforderlich sind. Allein durch Drücken einer Taste kann die Anzeige in eine der vier möglichen Arbeitsmodi gesetzt werden, wie Prozent Transmission, Absorption, Konzentration und Faktor.
Durch ein eingebautes Printer-Interface kannt das Modell 690 mit einem geeigneten Kabel an praktisch jeden handelsüblichen Printer angeschlossen werden. Jedem Meßvorgang wird eine ID-Nummer zugeordnet und es erfolgt ein vollständiger Ausdruck der Größen Transmission, Absorption, Konzentration, Faktor und Wellenlänge. Für den Fall, daß es wünschneswert erscheint das Gerät mit einem IBM- oder IBM-kompatiblen PC zu verbinden kann auf Wunsch ein serielles Interface RS-232-0 (690-050) nachgerüstet werden.
Nach dem Einschalten durchläuft das Gerät zuerst eine interne Selbstüberprüfungsroutine. Anschließend erfolgt die Kalibrierung des Monochromators um genaue Meßergebnisse zu erhalten.
