The Misonix XL2020 Sonicator has a variety of practical accessories for individual solutions in various industries. A wide range of horn sizes allows different volumes to be processed. High intensity horns maintain processing intensity while double horns double processing capacity. Probes enable extremely high-amplitude processing of small volumes, and beaker horns are high-intensity water baths that allow researchers to process samples without probe penetration to prevent cross-contamination. The XL2020 Sonicator features a keyboard with haptic feedback, programmable memory, pulse and timing functions, remote on/off capabilities, overload protection and an LCD display that shows elapsed time and power output. Features:. · Microprocessor control - allows precise control of output power, elapsed processing time and cyclic rates of power pulsation. It includes the functions of the digital integrating timer and the multi-range PULSAR™ cycle timer. · Digital integrative timer – allows precise timing of applied ultrasound energy in one-second increments from one second up to ten hours. The desired total processing time is set on a pressure-sensitive keyboard. Both the selected processing time and the actual total elapsed processing time are displayed by an LCD display. A start/stop control initiates or reinitiates the timed sonication. A pause control allows manual pulsing or delaying. The preset total time of active sonication is not affected by pauses or pulsing, whether manually or with the Multi-Range PULSAR™ cycle timer. · Multi-Range PULSAR™ Cycle Timer – allows application of ultrasonic energy to the sample on a pulsed basis. Pulse on and off times are adjustable in 0.1 second increments, from 0.1 seconds to an hour each. This intermittent operation enables high-intensity sonication while avoiding heat generation in the processed sample. It also allows processed particulate material to settle back under the tip. · OVERLOAD INDICATOR – under certain exceptional conditions, the amount of power delivered to the transducer/horn assembly could threaten the alternator circuitry to the point of failure. To prevent unnecessary downtime, an overload protection function has been integrated into the generator.
