Der Laborhomogenisator Masticator von IUL arbeitet nach der bekannten Paddel-Technik und wird für die Probenhomogenisierung in der Mikrobiologie verwendet. Die Probe in einem sterilen Probenbeutel wird im Masticator pulsierenden Bewegungen der beiden Paddel ausgesetzt. Nach kurzer Zeit entsteht ohne Hitzeeinwirkung eine repräsentative Lösung der zu analysierenden Mikroorganismen.
