Das Medi-Prax wurde konzipiert für alle, die so einfach und funktionell wie möglich im Hellfeld mikroskopieren wollen. Es hält auch gröberem Umgang durch Ungeübte stand.
Es zeichnet sich durch ein schweres Gußstativ aus, das einen sicheren Stand für ruhiges Mikroskopieren garantiert.
Der Binokulartubus kann um 360° gedreht werden, ohne dass eine Schraube zu lösen ist. Somit können z.B. zwei Personen besser an einem Mikroskop arbeiten.
Der Einblickwinkel des Binokulartubus beträgt 45°
Jeder Okularstutzen kann individuell nach den Bedürfnissen des Beobachters eingestellt werden.
Der Augenabstand kann von 55 mm 75 mm variiert werden
Weitfeldokulare WF 10 x / 18 mit Sehfeldzahl 18 stehen zur Verfügung.
Sie lassen sich bei Bedarf so sichern, dass sie ohne Werkzeug nicht entfernt werden können.
Objektivrevolver und Objektive sind mit einer Rändelung versehen, so dass griffsicher der Objektivrevolver gedreht, bzw. die Objektive abgeschraubt werden können.

Ein Kreuztisch mit 130 mm x 130 mm Tischfläche zum bequemen Durchmustern von Standardpräparaten gehört zur Ausstattung.
Der Verschiebebereich für das Präparat beträgt 50 mm x 78 mm. Nonius in X- und Y-Richtung erleichtern das Wiederauffinden interessanter Objektstellen.
Ein Objekthalter mit Federhebel sorgt für sichere, schonende Halterung eines Präparats
Grob- und Feinfokussiertrieb sind koaxial angeordnet. Die Gängigkeit des Fokussiertriebs kann individuell an einem Ring neben dem Fokussiertrieb eingestellt werden.
Ein Abbe-Kondensor mit hoher numerischer Apertur von NA 1.25 (mit Aperturblende) liefert homogene Ausleuchtung und ausreichende Helligkeit.
Die Höhenverstellung des Kondensors erfolgt über einen robusten Hebelmechanismus. Eine integrierte 6 V / 20 W Halogenlampe liefert kontinuierlich regelbare Helligkeit.
Die Lampe kann mit wenigen Handgriffen ausgetauscht werden.
Die Helligkeitsregelung ist ergonomisch günstig in der Nähe des Fokussiertriebs angebracht.
Ein Tageslichtfilter, im Beleuchtungsstutzen integriert, sorgt für helle, klare Bilder.
