Die Zentrifugen Rotanta/AP, Rotanta/RP und Rotanta/RPC sind Becherzentrifugen, Mikroprozessor-gesteuert und programmierbar. Die Zentrifugen Rotanta/AP und Rotanta/RP sind Tischzentrifugen, die Zentrifuge Rotanta/RPC dagegen ist fahrbar.

Bei den Zentrifugen ROTANTA/RP und ROTANTA/RPC ist die Schleuderraum temperatur regelbar von - 10 °C bis + 40 °C. Das sich bildende Kondenswasser fließt über den Ablauf in der Rotorkammer in die dazugehörende Auffangschale unter der Frontblende.

Die Zentrifugen sind geprägt durch ihre geringe Bauhöhe. Die Verkleidung ist aus geschäumtem, konstruktivem Chemie-Werkstoff. Nach Abnahme der Verkleidung sind die Zentrifugen ringsum zugänglich. Die Arbeitsplatte und die Rotorkammer (Schleuderraum) sind aus rostfreiem Edelstahl. Die Rotorkammer ist aus Sicherheitsgründen doppelwandig. Als Direktantrieb dient ein Elektromotor mit hoher Beschleunigungsarbeit, Beschleunigung und Bremsung sind stromgeführt. Eine Novität ist das Auswechseln der Kohlebürsten, dies erfolgt hier im Schleuderraum.

Das Eingabe- und Informationsfeld ist eine wasser- und staubdichte Folientastatur. Sie befindet sich im Deckel. Die Elektronikeinheit, Mikroprozessor-gesteuert hat folgende Funktionen:
