Colony Picking

Now you can generate libraries quickly and reliably, whether your goal is sequencing or microarrays. So much depends on the quality of your library, the GeneTAC G 3 ensures you get the clones you need in a realistic time frame by:

• Improving productivity. Whether you need 150 or150,000 clones a week, the multi-function GeneTAC G 3 is adaptable to your needs.

• Using your biology. The GeneTAC G 3 automatically selects what it has to pick based upon size, and is compatible will all common plate formats.

• Shortening deadlines. Automated colony picking is a significantly faster and more accurate unattended operation.

Library Management

Libraries are a precious resource and they need selective management to preserve their viability and purity over long periods. Also, once screened,   it is neither cost nor resource effective to include every library element in every subsequent experiment. Simple tool changes on the GeneTAC

• Optimize.

Once a library has been screened it is often useful to generate sub-libraries. Most libraries, however, are random – so selecting the exact well required is both labor intensive and prone to error. Librarian is an application specifically designed for truly selective re-arraying. By using a special tool with 24 individually addressable pins, any well position on any plate can be independently accessed to produce focussed sub-libraries.

• Replicate.

With 100% accuracy, you can replicate either 96 or 384 wells at a time using a solid pin transfer. Typically the pins transfer less than 1µl each visit.

• Expand and contract.

Often, different instruments require different formats. With the GeneTAC G 3 you can expand libraries from 384 to 96 well formats or contract four 96-well into one 384-well plate.

Gridding

The GeneTAC G 3 enables you to screen the quality of your library early in the process before you go to expensive preparation steps. This can save you valuable time, money and resources. Using either a 384 pin or 96 pin gridding tool gives you the ability to:

Gridding onto membranes using reliable time tested technology enables you to effectively screen your clone libraries.
