PSQTM96MA System is a multi-application genetic analysis solution designed to meet the diverse needs of clinical research. Technical overview

The PSQ 96MA System consists of an automated instrument, with dedicated software for system control and data analysis, as well as optimized reagent kits, consumables and sample preparation tools. The system analyzes 96 samples simulta­neously, in a 96-well plate format, using the robust and reliable chemistry of Pyrosequencing technology. This eliminates the need for gels, dyes or specific labels.

Pyrosequencing technology uses an enzyme-cascade system, consisting of four enzymes and specific substrates, to produce light whenever a nucleotide forms a base pair with the complementary base in a DNA template strand. This light signal is detected, the base registered and the next nucle­otide added. If the added nucleotide is not complementary to the next base in the template, no light will be generated.

The PSQ 96MA System detects and transforms the light into signals, which are displayed as peaks in the resulting Pyrogram. The height of the signal is proportional to the number of bases incorporated, resulting in quantitative data.
