Prices exclude shipping costs. Stated shipping costs are to be expected. Deviations are possible. If transport costs are not specified, please ask separately for them.
The stated transport and packing charges apply to the most favorable route if transport and are to be understood as subject to verification due to unexpected cost increases. By reason of unpredictable events, cargo rates and delivery times can change at any time and therefore have to be adapted to the recent situation. Import formalities and possible customs charges will be borne by the purchaser. Incoterm coding according to Incoterms 2010: For persons who collect the devices themselves: EXW, for dipatch by sea: CFR, by air freight: CPT, other shipments: DAP. Note for international shipments: A proof of preference/EUR1 will not be issued by us. When self-collecting/ordering EXW from countries within or outside the European Union, 16% VAT will be retained as a deposit until we have received the corresponding confirmation of arrival/bill of delivery from the buyer.

The DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System is intended for use in analytical procedures that require plotting spectrophotometric measurements as a function of wavelength.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System consists of the following: DU-8 UV-Visible Computing Spectrophotometer; digital plotter; and X Scan Compuset TM Module.
A Compuset Module is a compact, plug-in cartridge that is an extension of microprocessor memory. Through factory-programmed routines, it controls an accessory and performs data reduction for the accessory. A Compuset Module can be inserted or removed readily, thereby adapting the instrument to specific requirements.
The addition of two accessories, the sample transport and the six-position cell holder, significantly increases the versatility and convenience of the DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System. These are described in the Operating Instructions.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Performance characteristics and specifications of the DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System include those of the DU-8 UV-Visible Computing Spectrophotometer. Refer to Beckman Instructions 015-555929 for details.
In addition to the capabilities of the basic DU-8 Spectrophotometer, the Wavelength Scanning System provides special capabilities with regard to wavelength scanning.
The DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System consists of the DU-8 Spectrophotometer, a digital plotter, and a X Scan Compuset Module.
The digital plotter, an alphanumeric strip-chart recorder, is built into and controlled by the DU-8 Spectrophotometer. The plotter consists of a basic plotter, interface electronics, added internal memory, and an external plug-in cartridge, the lt Scan Compuset TM Module, that provides wavelength scanning capabilities.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using the DU-8 Wavelength Scanning System, the operator should be thoroughly familiar with operation of the basic instrument.
The procedures that follow assume that the operator is using the standard Wavelength Scanning System, which consists of a DU-8 Spectrophotometer, a digital plotter, and a X Scan compuset TM Module. Use of this system require that the operator insert blanks and samples manually.
The addition of two accessories, the sample transport mechanism and the six position cell holder, significantly increases the versatility and convenience of the system. With these accessories, procedures described in Paragraphs to 7.1 to 7.6 are simplified by eliminating manual positioning. The sample transport automatically positions Cell 1 as a blank and then positions up to five samples for wavelength scan. The operator can overlay multiple scans of the same sample or can present them in sequential format. The same format option -overlay or sequential - applies to scans of a series of different samples.
