The Beckman P/ACE MDQ Capillary Electrophoresis System is ideal for research, method development, and quality control applications. It is equipped with a selectable UV/Vis detector, UV source optics, temperature-controlled sample storage module and 32K software configured on a desktop controller. The P/ACE MDQ System provides automated multi-format sample delivery directly from 96-well plates, 2 mL autosampler vials, PCR vials and 0.5 mL tubes. An array of 36 independent buffer pairs allows you to automate your method development strategies while maintaining the system's sample capacity. The P/ACE MDQ Electrophoresis System offers multiple separation modes including voltage, current, power, pressure and vacuum, and allows for the programming of step and linear gradients along with simultaneous pressure or vacuum application at both ends of the capillary. This system features a modular detector with a highly sensitive, selectable UV wavelength range that uses up to seven filters in an array that allows wavelength changes during a run. The temperature control of samples in the P/ACE MDQ system serves to minimize the degradation of temperature-sensitive compounds and to control reaction rates when considering enzyme kinetics. The dual-wavelength laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) 488NM detection system expands the applications of capillary electrophoresis for the analysis of carbohydrates and nucleic acids, as well as other compounds that either fluoresce naturally or can be made to fluoresce through sample derivatization. LIF provides both selectivity and sensitivity for any analysis and typically has 500-fold greater sensitivity than UV for fluorescent compounds. The P/ACE MDQ LIF detector is modular and allows simultaneous excitation with two laser sources. There are 5 tested and working sets in stock, the software is included.
