Allgemeines

Der Elementaranalysator multi EA 2000 Cl dient zur Bestimmung des Gesamtchlorgehaltes in festen, pastösen sowie flüssigen Proben. Er kann nach entsprechender Probenvorbereitung auch zur AOX-Bestimmung verwendet werden.

Erweiterungsmöglichkeiten

Ein Probensampler mit 21 Probenplätzen (FPG 21) kann an das Gerät angeschlossen werden.

Zur automatischen Mengenübernahme für die Berechnung der Analysenergebnisse kann eine Waage angeschlossen werden.

Eine Erweiterungsoption des multi EA 2000 Cl zur Bestimmung von TC, TIC und TS muss mit dem Service der Vertriebsfirma abgestimmt werden, da es nicht bei allen Grundgeräte-Versionen möglich ist.

Verfahrensgrundlagen

Die zu untersuchenden Proben werden in einem Quarzglasschiffchen über eine Gasschleuse dem Verbrennungsraum zugeführt.

Je nach Beschaffenheit der Probe kann diese auf zwei Arten thermisch aufgeschlossen werden. Eine Variante ist die direkte Verbrennung im Sauerstoffstrom. Bei der zweiten Variante wird die Probe im Inertgasstrom (z.B. Argon) vorsichtig pyrolysiert und die dabei entstehenden Pyrolyseprodukte werden dann später im Sauerstoffstrom vollständig verbrannt. Zu empfehlen ist diese Methode bei organischen Stoffen, die im Sauerstoff explosionsartig verbrennen würden.

Die Reaktion läuft nach folgender Gleichung ab:

R-CI 4 HCI + CO₂ + H₂ O + Oxide

Der Anteil an HCI wird nach der Messgastrocknung coulometrisch bestimmt.

Dabei reagieren die Chloridionen vollständig mit elektrolytisch erzeugten Silberionen zu Silberchlorid.

Ag⁺ + CI^- AgCI

Aus der für die Erzeugung der Silberionen verbrauchten Ladungsmenge kann nach dem Faraday'schen Gesetz die Chloridmenge errechnet werden.

Geräteaufbau

Der multi EA 2000 Cl ist ein kompaktes Messgerät, bestehend aus dem Grundgerät und einem PC. Das Grundgerät vereinigt die notwendigen Komponenten für Verbrennung, Gasführung, Analytik und der Datenübertragung zum PC.

Das Grundgerät multi EA 2000 Cl besteht aus zwei intern getrennten Baugruppen:

dem Ofenteil (Warmteil) und

dem Pneumatik- und Elektronikteil (Kaltteil).

Im Ofenteil erfolgt die Pyrolyse und Verbrennung.

Im Kaltteil befinden sich die Coulometerbaugruppe, die Pumpeneinheit, die Splitbaugruppe und ein interner Mikrorechner zur Datenerfassung und als Schnittstelle zum externen PC.
