The STEM RS 1050 Reaction Station, Laboratory Cooling and Stirring Block, has 10 positions that can be programmed to the same temperature and stirring speed simultaneously. It can be used for a wide variety of applications, from simple synthesis in the laboratory to process optimization in industry. The RS 1050 consists of two main modules, a temperature controlled reaction unit with integrated magnetic stirrers and a permanently attached chiller controlled by the reaction unit. The factory-fitted feed hose connecting the reaction unit to the chiller transports refrigerant gas to the reaction unit. Inside the reaction unit is a heat exchanger designed to accommodate 25mm diameter glass test tubes or smaller test tubes with optional reducing adapter sleeves. A splash-proof housing houses the heat exchanger and magnetic stirrers for each tube position. Buttons on the front of the control module allow easy manual operation. In addition, the RS 1050 can also be controlled remotely via a computer (special software is required for this).
