Delivery information
Prices exclude shipping costs. Stated shipping costs are to be expected. Deviations are possible. If transport costs are not specified, please ask separately for them.
The stated transport and packing charges apply to the most favorable route if transport and are to be understood as subject to verification due to unexpected cost increases. By reason of unpredictable events, cargo rates and delivery times can change at any time and therefore have to be adapted to the recent situation. Import formalities and possible customs charges will be borne by the purchaser. Incoterm coding according to Incoterms 2010: For persons who collect the devices themselves: EXW, for dipatch by sea: CFR, by air freight: CPT, other shipments: DAP. Note for international shipments: A proof of preference/EUR1 will not be issued by us. When self-collecting/ordering EXW from countries within or outside the European Union, 16% VAT will be retained as a deposit until we have received the corresponding confirmation of arrival/bill of delivery from the buyer.

Description Advanced Instruments 4D2 Digimatic Freezing Point Osmometer.
The Advanced Instruments 4D2 osmometer is a Completely automatic, single sample cryoscope milk conforming to the Official Standard and AOAC and APHA Test Methods (USA). Easy to read digital display stores test results until operator starts next test. Motorized head Lowers at touch of a button automatically rises When each test is completed. Sample size is 2.0ml. Range is 0-1000mC. Readability is +/- 0.002C or +/- 0.4% added water (+/- 1 SD).
THEORY OF FREEZING MEASUREMENT
Kryoskopie to determine the water balance of the milk
If you give one molecule of a non-ionic solute in a kilogram of water, so:
decreases the freezing point by 1 .86 degrees C
increasing the osmotic pressure to 17,000 mm Hg = 22.4 atm
increases the boiling point of 0.52 degrees C
drops the vapor pressure to 0.3 mm Hg.
MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE
The quickest and most accurate way to measure the freezing point, a solution is to be cool several degrees below its freezing point and then to shake inwardly. This initiates the instantaneous formation of many crystals. Melting heat is released, the sample temperature rises and keeps in balance, while the temperature is measured.
The temperature at which this change of state occurs, is a function of the chemical treatment and concentration of the sample. It is a repeatable phenomenon which is the freezing point on the degree of sub-cooling in dependency.
The time in which this process is going on, is the function of the temperature differences between the sample and its environment, and the ability of these surrounding substances to conduct heat. Level and temperature of the bath should be balanced so that the cooling is rapid, but not so fast that the hypothermia is uncontrollable. When the thermistor (sample probe) or the sample tube is much warmer than the sample itself, the heat of which will flow out to the sample and distort the freezing curve.
Heat flows constantly from the sample to the bath, to cool the first sample, then to cause the change in state. Finally, the melting heat is removed, the sample is cooled to ice, and continue until the bath temperature has been reached.
The thermistor senses the temperature in the sample tubes. Because only a small part of the sample surface is detected, it is important that the sample temperature is uniform. If the probe is not centered or Cefälle occur during freezing or convection after freezing, the measurement will not be accurate.
MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
This diagram shows the temperature of a sample as it passes through the freezing cycle and the activities of the unit at each work stage.
1) The measuring head was lowered into the sample, this will begin to rapidly cool and the digital meter displays 0 0 0 0th
2) If the temperature of the sample reaches 0 degrees C, begins to count at the meter. The cooling process is slowing down.
3) If the gauge indicates 3000, the sample is supercooled enough. A 1 sec Rüttelimpuls shake the sample vigorously and it comes to solidification.
4) The instrument falls rapidly when the melting heat escapes from the sample and the temperature rises up to the actual freezing point of the sample.
The counting of the meter slows down as soon as the trial approaches its freezing point.
5) The reading of the meter remains almost constant if the device follows the sample plateau.
6) Once the device has the certainty that the plateau is constant, it locks the reading for measuring instrument and the measuring head comes out.
The device is now ready for another attempt.
